EPOCH 1000

Advanced UT

EPOCH 1000 is an advanced conventional ultrasonic flaw detector that can be upgraded at authorized Olympus service centers to have phased array imaging capabilities.

EPOCH 1000iR

Advanced UT+phased array (available for immediate use if purchased)

The EPOCH 1000iR has the same ultrasonic defect detection performance as the EPOCH 1000 and can be easily upgraded to an instrument with phased array function at the work site through remote activation.

EPOCH 1000i

Advanced UT+built-in phased array function

The standard configuration of EPOCH 1000i not only has the same advanced ultrasonic testing performance as EPOCH 1000, but also comes with a built-in phased array imaging function package.

Durable, portable, and capable of working properly in harsh testing environments

The design of EPOCH 1000 series instruments complies with IP66 environmental rating standards. These instruments have passed anti impact and anti vibration tests, and have been tested for operation in explosive atmospheres and a wide temperature range. Tests have shown that these instruments can operate normally under harsh testing conditions. The other main physical characteristics of EPOCH 1000 series instruments are as follows:

Wide screen, full VGA (640 X 480) resolution, color, transparent display, providing the best viewing experience regardless of low or bright lighting conditions.

Durable rubber handle, easy to carry.

The D-ring installed on the instrument is sturdy and durable, making it easy to hang the instrument on the chest for use.

The front and rear brackets facilitate placing the instrument on a desktop for viewing, or tilting it at a larger angle for viewing.

USB client and host ports are used for communication with PCs, direct printing, and communication with other peripheral devices.

VGA output, used for lectures, training, and remote instrument monitoring.

Programmable analog output, alarm output, RS-232 communication.

Standard built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery.

Onboard memory and report generation

The EPOCH 1000 series instruments have onboard capabilities such as file and database transfer, image capture, and basic report generation. In this way, in addition to observing real-time images on the instrument, these onboard features also provide users with multiple optional ways to access previously stored data.

Flash memory cards (CF) and USB memory sticks are two types of removable storage devices that can be used to export images and reports. Each EPOCH 1000 series instrument is randomly equipped with a flash memory card.

Instrument data logger

The design purpose of advanced data loggers is to facilitate the capture of data to generate reports containing images, measurement values, and calibration information. The data logger contains both detection files and some specialized calibration files. When quick adjustments to settings are needed, these calibration files can be quickly called upon. When a report needs to be generated quickly, a detection file with complete data can be used, or a detection file with basic images and captured measurement values can be used. The data logger also includes some advanced file types for various corrosion detection applications.

File and database transfer

The complete database of the instrument can be backed up to a USB memory stick and restored in any EPOCH 1000 series instrument. Individual files can also be copied to a USB memory stick for file transfer between instruments.

image capture

The real-time screen of the instrument can be captured and exported using extracted media format (CF or USB). Specific file types can also be created to facilitate the export of stored file images for use in various types of reports.

Ability to generate reports

The EPOCH 1000 series instruments have a more comprehensive ability to generate reports and can dynamically output information in various formats. Reports can be created in the instrument based on stored data files and transmitted in HTML format to the appropriate media destination address (CF or USB). According to the specific information required in the report, users can choose one of two types of reports. Users can also import custom logos to replace the Olympus logo in the report header.

PC data management and report generation

GageView Pro data software

The EPOCH 1000 series instruments are fully compatible with the PC interface program GageView Pro of Olympus standard portable instruments. Through the GageView Pro interface program, operators can download stored data, view, export, or backup this data, and generate reports containing set parameters, measurement data, and waveforms. You can use a USB memory stick to directly view database backup files in GageView Pro software without connecting the EPOCH 1000 series instrument to a PC. This software can also be used for file backup, data review, and generating instrument file reports without the need to remove the instrument from the work site. This software program also includes other tools, such as instrument firmware upgrade function.

characteristic:

Download and save the detection data and settings files.

View setting information and measurement data on the PC.

Export measurement data and calibration data to a regular electronic data sheet program.

Backup the calibration and testing data in the instrument.

Upgrade the instrument firmware.

Generate a report containing set parameters, measurement data, and waveforms.

Accessing stored data through backup files in the instrument database

Generally generate reports containing set parameters, measurement data, and waveforms.

Accessing stored data through backup files in the instrument database
